Shizue Seigel is a third –generation Japanese American writer and artist who explores complex intersections of history, culture and spirituality. Her five books include Endangered Species, Enduring Values, Standing Strong! Fillmore & Japantown, and In Good Conscience. She has been awarded two San Francisco Arts Commission Individual Arts Commissions, VONA and Atlantic Center for the Arts fellowships, and residencies in Wyoming, Georgia, Florida and Washington state. Her work appears in anthologies and journals including All the Women in My Family Sing, Your Golden Sun Still Shines, Cheers to Muses, invAsian, Eleven Eleven, Away Journal and the upcoming We’ve Been Patient Too Long.
