Nic Romano
Nic Romano is currently completing his Earth Systems major in the Biosphere track. Nic is interested in all aspects of ecology, from the deepest oceans to the darkest forests. His current research focuses upon the ectomycorrhizal symbiosis, in which plants exchange nutrients with fungal associates beneath the earth. In the long term, Nic hopes to do work in conservation biology and promote a greater awareness for our reliance upon natural systems. Nic enjoys writing and reading poetry, hiking, practicing yoga, and cooking for his friends. Nic manages the garden for Synergy cooperative house, providing plenty of fresh produce for the residents -- and edible mushrooms, too.
