Writing Pad
Los Angeles
I'm a Los Angeles-based comedy writer and artist who’s had a story on NPR's Unfictional (00:23:18) and am from Marin County, California. Some recent shows I've watched and loved are: Ted Lasso, Ramy, Upload, Mythic Quest, Dave, Dark, The Queen's Gambit, Normal People, Dead to Me, Search Party, The Crown and many others.

I'm always watching new shows to improve my writing skills, discover new TV writing teachers and distill craft lessons in newsletters for Writing Pad, the award-winning writing school I co-founded 15 years ago with my writing partner and wife, Marilyn Friedman. The instructors at Writing Pad are all experienced screenwriters who've written on top TV shows (Superstore, Upload, The Handmaid's Tale) or sold pilots recently, many at the Co-EP and showrunner level.

I've hosted panels with Greg Daniels (Upload, The Office, Parks and Rec), Tanya Saracho (Vida), Janine Sherman Barrois (Claws), Issa Rae (Insecure), Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Dailyn Rodriguez (Queen of The South), Lauren Gussis (Insatiable), Stephen Falk (You're The Worst), Gloria Calderón Kellett (One Day At A Time), Tim Minear (911, American Horror Story), the heads of the TV fellowships (ABC/Disney, CBS, NBC, Nicholl), among others.

My wife and I co-wrote a pilot based on our experiences as swing dancers (which is how we met).
