Joel Streicker is a writer, poet, and literary translator. He is the author of a book of poetry, "El amor en los tiempos de Belisario" (Bogotá: Común Presencia), and an as yet unpublished book of short stories tentatively titled "The Major Mistakes Have Already Been Made." His fiction and translations have appeared in A Public Space, McSweeney's, Gargoyle, and Words Without Borders, among other publications.
