¿Donde Esta Mi Gente? Seeks to continue the long tradition of San Francisco being a focal point for groundbreaking, electrifying Latino spoken and written word. Founded in 2014 by Baruch Porras Hernandez, DEMG’s mission is to be a leading performance series that showcases the top Latinx Performers and Writers. We want to collaborate with established Latinx writers, be a launch pad for emerging Latinx writers, queer and straight, of various Latinx origins who have a passion for performing. DEMG was started so that Latinx writers and lovers of spoken word never have to ask ¿Donde Esta Mi Gente? (Where my people at?) when it comes to the literary performance scene.
