Elizabeth Stix Bernstein's stories are forthcoming or published in McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, Tin House, the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine and elsewhere. Her short story “Alice” won the Bay Guardian Fiction Contest. She founded the litmag The Big Ugly Review (www.biguglyreview.com), and the SF Weekly named her one of the "Best Bay Area Writers Without a Published Book." She is finishing her novel-in-stories, “Things I Want Back from You.”
