Beverly Parayno is from East San Jose. Her fiction, memoir, essays and author interviews have appeared in Narrative Magazine, Bellingham Review, World Literature, The Rumpus, Warscapes and Huizache, among others. Her work has been translated into Mandarin by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Parayno earned an MA from University College Cork and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Currently, she serves on the board of PAWA, a nonprofits arts organization and publisher dedicated to supporting Filipinx writers, and on the executive committee of Litquake.
